ANNOUNCEMENT:
In a letter to Palau's President Remengesau, US Navy Admiral Thomas B. Fargo announced that Rear Admiral Arthur J. Johnson will attend the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Peleliu. In addition, the USS McCampbell is now scheduled to visit Palau and participate in the anniversary commemoration.
9/1/04 - We have been informed that the USS Lake Erie will attend the commemoration ceremony, instead of teh USS McCampbell.
