PALAU featured in Germany's Popular Geography Magazine 'GEO' May 2009 issue.

Palau Visitors Authority is very happy to announce that Germany’s most popular geographic magazine ‘GEO’ has dedicated 28 pages of their May 2009 issue to Palau and its unique underwater world. The article includes stunning and exceptionally beautiful pictures about Palau’s rich marine diversity and the famous jellyfish lakes, shot by photographer Christoph Gerigk.

Principal topic of the report by GEO journalist Lars Abromeit is the evolutionary development in Palau’s famous marine lakes. Main focus is the unique development of flora and fauna in those lakes with a particularly closer look at the exceptional jellyfish colonies, which inhabit several of the marine lakes.

Although the article is written from a scientific point of view, certainly scientists, but also nature lovers, diving enthusiasts and everyone else who is interested in discovering something unique, will take much pleasure in reading the report and glancing at the wonderful pictures.
