PANDEMIC (H1N1) 2009 UPDATES

H1N1 and Seasonal Influenza Mass Vaccination

The Bureau of Public Health has announced that it will be conducting a mass vaccination campaign that will begin on Monday, November 2, 2009 to administer the new H1N1 Influenza (flu) Vaccine as well as the Seasonal Influenza Vaccine.

The mass vaccination will commence in Koror at all of its hamlets and will continue on to Airai and Babeldaob and the southern states. A schedule of dates and locations for Babeldaob and outlying states will be announced at a later date.

Both vaccines are free of charge to all citizens and foreign residents of Palau and are suitable for adults and children 6 months old and older.

The H1N1 vaccinations will be administered at the following times and locations in these hamlets in Koror:
