Palau Features Three New Hotels & Resorts

Sunrise Villa Hotel Under New Ownership

PALAU FEATURES THREE NEW HOTELS & RESORTS

KOROR, Palau – Palau Visitors Authority is proud to announce three new hotel and resort properties in Palau’s main town of Koror, adding 199 rooms to help accommodate Palau’s anticipated growing number of visitors.

On Meyuns island, the Rose Garden Resort, personally owned by George Kebekol, is perched on a hillside overlooking Philippine Sea and the bays of Koror. Stone pathways and stairs lead up the hilltop to 10 wood and cement cottages, divided into 24 mahogany decor rooms, each with individual private balconies and a spectacular view of the sun and moon-rise. Two of these rooms will be handicap-accessible. The 3,200 square meter complex will also include a full-service restaurant and parking lots on two levels to accommodate 20 cars and 1 tour bus. With a majestic view of the taro patches and mangroves of Ngerbeched, the Palau Plantation Resort is an impressive development that features 6 individual wood and bamboo bungalows and a

larger building with suites and operations offices. The Resort will also feature Jacuzzis, a swimming pool, restaurant, and gift shop. According to a company representative, hotel promotions will be mainly geared to the Japanese market. SUNRISE VILLA HOTEL UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

The Palau Visitors Authority is pleased to announce that the Sunrise Villa Hotel is now under new ownership and will operate as the Cliffside Hotel.

Owners Shallum and Mandy Etpison will renovate the Cliffside Hotel with a new front façade and roof, balconies for all rooms, and new interior design.

Situated on a lush, green, quiet hillside, with stunning views across a beautiful lagoon towards Koror and the Rock Islands, the Cliffside Hotel also will feature the Turtle Cove Restaurant and Junglebar Pool Bar, which will also undergo transformations over the next few months.

“The Cliffside Hotel is located in a very pristine and natural area,” remarked Mary Ann Delemel, Managing Director of the Palau Visitors Authority. “The sunrise and moonrise views, plus the tasteful redesign to compliment the surroundings will be a fabulous addition to Palau’s accommodations.”
